Northstar Physicians is a physician driven organization which supports and promotes the independent practice of medicine.

Our Clinic Vision

Northstar Physicians will help its member practices sustain financial viability while providing the highest quality of care in the most medically appropriate and cost efficient manner.

Our Service Vision

Our vision is to not restrict patient care - it is to offer Choice, Voice & Value to our 'customers': The health plans we contract with, employers - and most importantly, our patients. As a truly independent network of clinics, we are not locked in to any one hospital, facility or health plan - we work with those we serve to meet their needs in a manner best for that patient. One size does not fit all in health care.

Our Goals

1)     Provide member clinics with the opportunity to participate in health plan contracts negotiated by Northstar Physicians and/or the CareNorth Health System; 

2)     Provide member clinics with the opportunity to participate in group purchasing contracts negotiated by Northstar Physicians, e.g. office and medical supplies, reference lab, malpractice insurance, employee benefits; 

3)     Promote and support quality through care initiatives, patient safety programs and risk management within our member clinics; 

4)     Provide member clinics with management resources to improve clinic performance and compliance with regulations, e.g., staff networking, EMR/EHR, HR, coding, billing, HIPAA, OSHA;   

5)     Provide a forum where physicians can discuss and form community based best practice guidelines for care;  

6)     Promote the value of independent clinics and their providers within the lay and medical communities;   

7)     Provide a strong and collaborative voice for physicians on a local, state and national level;

8)     Provide physicians resources to respond to marketplace changes and better serve their patients.

In summary, our goals are to help our clinics reduce costs, and give immediate access to patients and provide the best possible, high quality care by working in partnership with patients, health plans and employers.
